Job Description:
Admissions Officers will assist in the marketing and recruitment activities of the Minnesota State University, Mankato Office of Admissions. The position will manage geographic or assigned recruitment territories and meet with prospective students both in high schools and community colleges, along with prospective student visits to the University. Admissions Officers also serve as a liaison to high school/community college counselors, and represent the University at college fairs. This position is responsible for planning, facilitating, and evaluating at least one specific departmental initiative.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (conferred on an official transcript prior to the position start date).
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license for a minimum of two years.
  • Prior to the date of appointment, this position requires a criminal background check conducted by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA).

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and external parties.
  • Comfort using technology to communicate with prospective students and evaluate recruitment programs (i.e. social media, relationship management databases).


Other Requirements:
Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
