Job Description:

The Jack Welch College of Business & Technology has a full-time, clinical faculty opening in the Management Department beginning in August 2021. This faculty member will be responsible for teaching business law and ethics courses with a 4 by 4 teaching load.  Courses are offered both day and evening, as well as in hybrid (online, weekend in-class) formats. There is the possibility of a 3 by 4 teaching load if the individual engages in scholarly activity in peer reviewed academic journals. 


Requirements:

This position requires a juris doctorate degree and at least five years of relevant professional experience with a significant level of responsibility.  Relevant experience must be current and completed no more than three years before the date of initial hire.  The ideal candidate will also have an excellent teaching history or significant professional experience regarding the intersection of business law, ethics and technology.

The Jack Welch College of Business & Technology (WCBT) is AACSB-accredited, offers undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Management, Economics, Finance, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Fashion Marketing & Merchandising, and Sports Management. In addition, graduate degrees in Human Resource Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics and Marketing are also offered. The WCBT also sponsors The New England Journal of Entrepreneurship, a peer reviewed journal published by Emerald.  

 

The WCBT is located at Sacred Heart University's West Campus, where facilities include state-of-the-art labs specifically designed to support research on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics, financial computation, machine learning, augmented reality/virtual reality and e-game design.
