Criminal Justice Temporary Faculty Position

The Department of Criminal Justice at Kutztown University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2021. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service. Required: Masters in Criminal Justice, Criminology or a related discipline. Preferred: Ph.D.  One year of college-level teaching experience required.  Applicants must demonstrate a record of criminal justice scholarship.  We are looking for candidates with specific expertise and experience in crime mapping and spatial crime analysis.  Preferred candidates have experience in developing and teaching courses in the desired expertise.  Candidates should also be able to teach general criminal justice courses including Introduction to Criminal Justice.  Candidates must complete a successful interview and demonstrate teaching effectiveness.  This is a one-year appointment with potential for continuation based upon enrollment.
