Position Summary:

This position functions as a Medical Program Assistant Senior (MPA Senior) for the Occupational Medicine and Environmental and Occupational Health units at Environment Health and Safety (EHS). The MPA Senior communicates effectively and confidentially with patients, Occupational Medicine staff, and Environmental and Occupational Health managers and staff, and others within EHS.

The position requires a person with the ability to manage many competing priorities in a busy clinic and outreach environment. This position must have excellent verbal and written communication, administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and careful attention to detail.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Experience in a healthcare setting and familiarity with medical records is required. Experience in a clinic or occupational health setting is desirable. Should have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.

Additional Information:

- Qualified candidates may be graduates of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Strong computer skills which include but are not limited to Electronic Medical Records (eg, Point and Click), Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work productively with constant interruptions.
- Ability to communicate (verbally and written) effectively and professionally in a clear, courteous and tactful manner with diverse students, faculty, staff and external vendors.
- Ability to create an environment that is welcoming to diverse population.
- Proven organizational and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness as a team player in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to be flexible to changes in priorities, schedules and projects. Prompt and regular attendance.

8:30 am - 5:00pm, M-F
Occasionally 8:00am or earlier
