Overview
Employment Status: Temporary, benefited MP "exempt" position through June 30, 2022 (position may be renewed annually based upon satisfactory job performance, availability of work, and continued funding).

Salary: $8,141.31-$11,214.45 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefit package is provided.

Work Schedule: To be arranged. Typically Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 pm. Some evenings and weekends as needed. Incumbent must be able to participate in remote or on-campus work depending on the directives from the CSUSB campus.

First Review Deadline: This position will remain open until filled. Applications will be reviewed beginning April 8, 2021.

Typical Activities
Under general administrative direction of the Faculty Director, the Executive Director of Operations plans, directs, organizes, and evaluates the operations of the FAITHS Throughcare Program; performs related duties as required. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Administers and organizes the FAITHS Throughcare Program which includes developing and maintaining a public/private service system throughout the County and providing consultation, education and referral services to the community.
  • Interprets and ensures compliance with federal, state and local codes and regulations established for mental health institutions and professionals.
  • Prepares the FAITHS Throughcare Program plan of operation and budget.
  • Assesses the need for services and advises and consults with professional staff in determining standards of service and treatment.
  • Plans, organizes, schedules, assigns and reviews work; establishes priorities, deadlines, and work standards.
  • Reviews policies, procedures, and methods used for effectiveness and consistency with service goals and standards; keeps abreast of proposed and new legislation affecting mental health programs.
  • Reviews specification bids, negotiates with organizations for the provision of mental health services, and administers contractual agreements; coordinates and participates in identifying and securing new alternative sources of funding.
  • Represents the FAITHS Throughcare Program and maintains liaison with state and county agencies; establishes cooperative work relationships with county executives and officials, public/private mental health providers and the general public.
  • Supervises and directs subordinate managers and licensed multi-disciplined professionals.
  • Directs the preparation of data, reports, correspondence, agreements and other documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum Qualifications
    Education:
    • MA in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Counseling and/or other related human service areas; must be licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
    Experience:
    • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with at least three (3) years working with justice-involved individuals and families in a supervisory or management capacity.
    Additional Qualifications:
  • Applicants must have strong organizational, management, leadership, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Applicants must have the ability to analyze problems and resolve conflicts, do long-range planning, and develop implementation procedures.
  • Knowledge of the scientific literature on mental health and attachment, and interpersonal attachment-based psychotherapy.
  • A strong background in child development, parenting, and developmentally-appropriate, positive child guidance.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with law enforcement, executive leaders, university faculty, staff, students, and community members/organizations.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population including communication with people from diverse cultures, ethnic backgrounds, socio-economic levels, and educational levels.
  • Skilled in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Working knowledge of state and county policies related to incarceration.
  • The ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Ability to handle multiple work priorities, organize work projects and complete them in a timely manner. Strong oral and facilitation skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • A doctoral degree in a related field.
    • Experience working within a University setting and managing graduate-level interns.
