Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be engaged in teaching as well as
scholarly and service activities.
Teaching expectations include: preparing and delivering a basic array of contemporary marketing and business courses to undergraduate and graduate students; providing instruction both in the classroom and online using virtual classroom technologies for synchronous and asynchronous learning; collaborating with colleagues to review, select, and obtain materials and supplies, such as textbooks and online resources. Course topics may include, but are not limited to, principles of marketing, advertising and sales promotion, sales management, supply chain management, consumer behavior, new product decisions, digital marketing, marketing analytics, and marketing research.
Scholarly and service expectations include: collecting and analyzing data for outcomes assessment at the course and program levels; participating in course and program assessment reviews to develop continuous improvement strategies; collaborating with colleagues to address instructional strategies, curricular development, recruitment/retention, and/or research issues; serving as advisor to Marketing and/or General Business majors; supervising internships; participating in recruiting events for the program; engaging in service activities with the school, university, community, and professional organizations; actively engaging in professional and scholarly activities; and, participating in other activities, as necessary, that support the mission of the College of Business and Aviation at Fairmont State University.

Minimum Expectations (Faculty/FEAP/NC)
Instruction and evaluation; student advising; committee assignments; faculty meetings; consultation; in-service programs; preparation for teaching; professional and scholarly development; research; performs other appropriate duties as assigned and as necessary; prepares and delivers instruction in all formats and methodologies as assigned and as necessary; attends institutional events and represents work department, school or college at such events; assists in student recruiting process and events for institution and/or work unit; adheres to and complies with all relevant federal, state and local laws; abides by Board of Governors and HEPC policies and rules, as relevant and appropriate; if assigned a State purchasing card, abides by all purchasing rules and provisions and reports/balances account as required or directed; adheres to all institutional policies and guidelines, including the provisions of the employee's relevant employee handbook; adheres to and complies with relevant provisions of the WV State Ethics Act; adheres to the provisions of FERPA; follows, adheres to and abides by all established State and University travel policies; adheres to all safety rules and provisions; reports any personal accidents/injuries or accidents/injuries of assigned staff to HR by end of work day or work shift; acknowledges responsibility as a mandatory reporter and reports all incidents under Title IX and Title VII of the United States Code to the proper Fairmont State University personnel; abides by the employee-reporting provisions of the FMLA and ADA; completes all assigned employee training and completes all required performance evaluations timely, completely and accurately.

Master's in Marketing or related field with demonstrated teaching experience in marketing and business courses.

High performing student learning outcome results at the collegiate level within a school or department of business. Professional experience in business or industry preferred.
