The Office of Admissions and Merit Awards at Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the position of Admissions and Outreach Coordinator (Student Services Program Coordinator I).

 

Duties include, but are not limited to: represents the University at local community events to include festivals, community-based events, church programs, off-campus middle/high school programs, College Application Day/Night and other recruitment events; meets and greets guests who arrive at the University for a campus tour’ conducts pre- and post-tour presentations; initiates activities designed to increase enrollment such as telephone campaigns, special e-mail campaigns, etc.; assists with the implementation of on-campus events such as Discovery Day, Saturday Tours, Transfer Information Sessions, and Counselor programs; identify key markets for Hispanic students through data analysis and research on current students, applicant pool, and geo-demographics; develop and implement a recruitment plan to increase Hispanic student enrollment which includes off-campus recruitment programs as well as on-campus events; effectively communicates admissions and relevant information in Spanish to prospective students and family members through oral, written, and electronic communication; translates publication and websites of Enrollment Management areas (admissions/merit awards, financial aid/scholarships); and other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree, a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record are required. Required fluent proficiency in both speaking and writing in Spanish. Prior relevant experience in admissions, student recruitment, student services and/or student life in a college or university setting is preferred. Preference for graduates of Coastal Carolina University. Sensitivity to the needs of all prospective students and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and counselors is preferred.
