The University of Florida is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Research position under the direction of Dr. Seunghee Cha . This position will conduct research in the area of molecular biology and immunology of autoimmune Sjögren’s syndrome (SS). This laboratory is examining extracellular and intracellular triggers for innate immune cell activation, and their impact on T/B/Treg cells and glandular inflammation of SS. More specifically, the roles of nucleic acid receptors and cytosolic RNA/DNA sensors in cytokine secretion and peripheral/tissue Treg regulation will be examined. Other projects on SS immunopathogenesis are also available.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D (or an equivalent degree) in immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, or in another related field. The candidate is expected to demonstrate strong skills in immunology and cell/molecular biology techniques. Experience with cloning and in vivo experiments would also be desirable.
