The School of Education at Loyola Marymount University is accepting applications in the Department of Specialized Programs in Professional Psychology for a Clinical Faculty Member and Assistant/Associate Program Director to teach and serve full-time in the School Psychology Program.

Job Duties:

The person in this position will provide leadership for all administrative duties in the School Psychology Program and teach and advise school psychology graduate candidates. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruitment and admissions
  • Accreditation and continuous improvement activities, including CTC and NASP compliance and accreditation
  • Fieldwork coordination for practicum and internship; securing and updating Memorandums of Understanding between districts and the University
  • Program and candidate advisement and assessment activities
  • Recruitment, screening, and support of part-time faculty
  • Updating program materials annually and as needed
  • Representing the School Psychology Program at meeting and conferences and with professional associations
  • Support the LMU Graduate Association of School Psychologists and alumni engagement
  • Teaching fieldwork supervision and content courses in face-to-face and/or online formats
  • Providing annual candidate advisement regarding practicum and internship
  • Supporting candidate development of knowledge, skills, and disposition and developing and monitoring remediation plans as necessary
  • Overseeing program and University benchmarks and graduation requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree with a specialization in School Psychology; OR a Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology and a doctorate in a closely related field (e.g., Counseling, Special Education)
  • At least 2 years of experience as a practicing school psychologist
  • Working knowledge of NASP domains of practice
  • Demonstrated experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion related to education, cultural competence, and/or cultural humility
  • Experience teaching, supervising, and/or supporting graduate-level students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of NASP requirements for graduate training and accreditation
  • Knowledge of CTC standards for school psychology
  • CA PPS credential in School Psychology
  • Experience teaching graduate-level courses
  • Experience with online teaching and learning
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, advocacy, and activism
