Institute for Bioethics and Health Humanities
The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston
The Institute for Bioethics & Health Humanities (IBHH) at the University of Texas Medical Branch invites applications for our Visiting Scholars Program for September 1, 2021 through August 31, 2022. The goal of this program is to give scholars protected time to focus on their research while also integrating them into the everyday life of a dynamic, multidisciplinary institution within a health science center. Scholars are expected to carry out their research projects and are encouraged to collaborate with IBHH faculty on new projects. In addition, scholars will teach one IBHH graduate seminar in their research area and may be involved in educational sessions for healthcare professional students and practicing clinicians. As a member of IBHH, scholars will participate in Institute events, such as seminar series and work in progress sessions. The IBHH houses the nation’s only Ph.D. program in Medical Humanities. More information can be found at https://ibhh.utmb.edu/
Scholars should have a terminal degree (PhD, JD, or MD/DO) and research interests that interface with bioethics and health humanities.
