Job Summary

JCCC's Health and Human Services provides quality healthcare career training programs in areas such as phlebotomy technician, electrocardiogram technician, assisted living facility operator, and nursing home administrator. Additionally, HHS provides continuing education for health care professionals that meet licensing requirements for RNs, APRNs, LPNs, social workers, counselors, registered dietitians, respiratory therapists, psychologists, massage therapists, physical and occupational therapists, and nursing home administrators. Qualified instructors are needed to deliver phlebotomy training classes. Classes are conducted in a continuing education classroom environment in the morning, afternoon or evening sessions during weekdays or weekends.

Instructors will provide training on all aspects of phlebotomy in a healthcare setting, including collection procedures, safety guidelines, patient rights, test requirements, equipment basics, venous collection, proper steps for collection, and identification of the supplies needed for collection.

Required Qualifications

Current ASCP Phlebotomy certification
3 years' work experience in phlebotomy

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience
Experience with PowerPoint, Canvas and Zoom
Experience teaching seminars and workshops
Experience coordinating clinical phlebotomy externships and rotations
Contacts with local phlebotomy facilities to coordinate off-campus clinical rotations
