Job Description Summary
The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at Auburn University invites applications for a twelve-month, non tenure-track clinical Assistant Clinical Professor in Speech-Language Pathology position. Responsibilities include supervision of graduate students in clinical practice in on-and off-campus sites including direct supervision of student interactions and evaluation of student performance. Duties may also include teaching clinic-related courses. The candidate is also expected to participate in departmental committee service and engage in clinically-related professional activities such as innovative clinical program development, research collaboration with other faculty, and participation in professional activities representing the department at local, regional, and national levels. The university has a clinical career ladder for faculty who engage in clinical instruction. The clinical career ladder includes a structure for promotion as the faculty member exhibits professional productivity and develops a regional/national reputation in the clinical field.
Minimum Qualifications
Meet ASHA certification standards for clinical instruction, including but not limited to an earned Master’s degree in speech-language pathology, CCC - SLP, 3-5 years of clinical experience, ability to supervise cases across all communication disorders areas with pediatrics and potential for Alabama license.
Desired Qualifications
Clinical supervision experience. Ability to speak Spanish.
