The Honors College at the University of Houston invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position for the 2021-2022 academic year to teach the UH History Survey Sequence and in its interdisciplinary minor programs. The teaching expectation for each semester is three small US History (Since 1877) survey sections and one upper-level seminar. The upper-level course should contribute to one of the Honors College’s seven interdisciplinary minors. The successful candidate will demonstrate teaching effectiveness and a strong commitment to mentoring undergraduates with a broad array of majors in an interdisciplinary, liberal arts environment.

Qualifications :
M.A. in History required; Ph.D. preferred.
