Part-time instructor for Industrial Electrical and General Electrical programs. This part-time position is responsible for developing and delivering training in Electrical and related subjects in a dynamic environment. The training will take place in both a classroom and lab environment and at times at a client work site.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, business management, education or closely-related field plus two (2) years full-time experience in Electrical or related field, OR
  • Associate’s degree in a technical or closely-related field plus four (4) years full-time experience in electrical or related field, OR
  • High School Diploma/ GED plus six (6) years full-time experience in electrical or related field.
Skills and knowledge required:
  • Provide training in one or more in the areas of Basic Electrical and Electronics, Electrical Troubleshooting, Motor Controls, PLC (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens) and related subjects.
  • Develop and deliver appropriate training programs to include training materials such as manuals, power point presentations, lab instructions, etc.
  • Prepare revision or customization of existing instructional materials for
    delivery.
  • Maintain acceptable client/student evaluations for workshop/course delivery.
  • Manage quality of work assignments within the time-frame established by business contracts.
  • Prior experience in training others preferred.
