Join the Montana State University- Northern College of Health Sciences! We offer an undergraduate degree in Integrated Health Sciences (formerly Health Promotion). This bachelor of science degree allows students to concentrate in community health, exercise science, or pre-allied health leading to CHES certification, ACSM certification, or allied health graduate school acceptance. The successful candidate will teach and develop coursework in response to departmental needs and his/her area(s) of expertise. This position will provide guidance to the program, advising students, student recruitment, and program development. Additional responsibilities may include service on faculty committees, special initiatives, student research, and scholarly endeavors.
Located in Havre, Montana, Montana State University-Northern is north central Montana's comprehensive university offering programs and services at the associate, baccalaureate, and master's levels. The Havre area offers great access to outdoor activities: with mountains, lakes, rivers, and prairies add to the variety. Havre is the Hill County Seat and offers a hospital, a fun downtown, an active community theater, as well as county offices. Havre has many pretty city parks and neighborhoods. Beyond Havre there are smaller, more rural communities with ranches and farms.
Duties and Responsibilities

Required Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Exercise
Physiology, Exercise Science, or other health-related
discipline.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate
teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
• Doctorate in Public Health, Health Promotion, Exercise
Physiology, Exercise Science, or other health-related
discipline.
• Willingness to earn terminal degree before the end of 6th
probationary year.
• CHES, MCHES,
and/or ACSM certifications.
• Ability to work within a collaborative university
environment.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
• Familiarity with blended, hybrid, online instruction.
• Potential for scholarly contributions to the field and
professional development activities.
