The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Kent State University-Kent Campus seeks to fill a tenure track faculty position in Organic Chemistry. The successful candidate will need to engage in one or more of the following broadly defined areas of study: advanced organic bio-materials, bio-polymers, and/or DNA-based nanostructures for use as nanomedicines. The successful candidate is expected to establish a highly productive, extramurally funded research program; direct theses and dissertations; and exhibit a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching. The ideal candidate will engage in collaborative research and have a research agenda that includes integration into the newly formed Brain Health Research Institute or Advanced Materials and Liquid Crystal Institute at Kent State University.
Minimum Requirements: a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field and at least one year of post-doctoral experience.
Salary and startup funds are competitive and commensurate with academic qualifications and prior experience.
