The Gupta College of Science at Coastal Carolina University, Department of Recreation and Sport Management, announces a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2021.

The Recreation and Sport Management department seeks a highly qualified individual who will play integral roles in the continued development of rapidly expanding programs in recreation and sport management. Candidates must possess an earned Doctorate in Sport Management or highly related discipline (ABD considered); excellence in teaching, evidence of scholarly productivity; and community/public engagement. Responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses to be selected from, but not limited to: Moral and Ethical Reasoning, Risk Management, Sport Law, Event Management, Recreation & Sport Finance, Recreation and Sport Administration, Introduction to Recreation and Sport Management. The position requires undergraduate/graduate student advisement, mentoring undergraduate/graduate student research, establishing a record of scholarship and professional service/outreach, commitment to program assessment and accreditation, and collaborating with related academic programs.
