General Information

The Economic Science Institute (ESI) at Chapman University invites applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Fellow position beginning in August 2021. We prefer a recent PhD who has a substantial research interest in game theory or experimental economics, with emphasis on the theory of contests and its applications.

Qualifications include:

• A Ph.D. in an appropriate field.
• Strong analytical and computational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to produce high-quality research.
• Ability to collaborate with other researchers.



The primary responsibilities involve working alongside a faculty member to conduct research. These responsibilities may include:

• Producing high-quality research and presenting research findings.
• Organizing, programming, and undertaking computational and/or laboratory experiments.
• Participating in seminars.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

This position will have no teaching or administrative duties.
