Summary
The Department of Pediatrics, Cardiology section has a position for an Assistant Professor with specific expertise in Adult Congenital Heart (ACH) Disease. Applicants should be board certified or board eligible in adult congenital heart disease. The faculty will work as one of the attending physicians in the Texas Children's Adult Congenital Heart Program to care for patients in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Clinical responsibilities include weekly ACH clinic experiences both at Main Campus and in community health center locations. In addition, depending on their background and interests, faculty spend clinical time in diagnostic imaging and/or interventional endeavors. The ACH faculty spend approximately 6-10 weeks working with the inpatient ACH service.
- Teaching responsibilities may include clinical teaching of fellows while on inpatient service or in outpatient clinic, participation in didactic lectures, participation in case conference or quality discussions or providing individual clinical or research mentorship.
