Program Coordinator - Disability Support Services
Columbia Basin College ("CBC" or the "College") seeks a Program Coordinator who will perform work using knowledge and experience specific to Disability Support Services (“DSS”) and assistive technology, in support of students and in collaboration with the campus community. This position will provide a high level of customer service and dissemination of information to students and the campus. The Program Coordinator will assist with the coordination of student intakes, scheduling, monitoring and reporting of program activities, and maintain and monitor budgets to determine consistency with program and college goals. This position reports to the Director for Disability Support Services.

- Serve as the primary contact with students and DSS participants which includes a high level of customer service, dissemination of information and coordination of the intake process, in conjunction with DSS staff;
- Perform complex scheduling including, independently prioritizing needs of DSS and Columbia Basin College;
- Establish and maintain records and files for DSS students in accordance with FERPA regulations;
- Organize and facilitate testing services offered which may include scheduling and/or proctoring tests;
- Assist in the collaboration with other departments to facilitate comprehensive support and services to DSS students;
- Confer with the Director for DSS to compose and distribute information regarding DSS programs and activities including, correspondence, graphics and marketing requests, website updates and website content;
- Maintain and monitor budgets for DSS programs including, ASB-funded, state and federal budgets providing regular reports and coordinating required paperwork for the budgets;
- Order, receive and maintain inventory for DSS programs;
- Monitor and report on program activities in relation to established program goals within the established program parameters; provide narrative and/or statistical reports;
- Use word processing, graphics, statistical, spreadsheet and/or data base software;
- Provide entry-level training to new DSS staff; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree in Business, Education, Social Sciences or related field from an institutionally accredited college or university;
- High school diploma or equivalent from an institutionally accredited college or university; and
- One (1) year of experience providing disability support services in an educational setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education or Social Sciences from an institutionally accredited college or university;
- Two (2) or more years of experience providing disability support services in a higher education setting.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position is a twelve (12) month, full-time, overtime eligible, represented, classified staff position. The typical work hours for this position are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; however, must be available to work a flexible schedule when prior notice is given by the College. This position is available immediately.
Prior to a new hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant's suitability and competence to perform in the position.

Manual dexterity and coordination are required to operate equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment.
Usual office working conditions. The noise level in the work area is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
