Oregon Tech is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Robotics, Automation, and Control Systems in the Department of Manufacturing & Mechanical Engineer Technology. This is a 9-month, full-time position located on the Oregon Tech campus in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The successful applicant is expected to: teach courses in one or more of the following areas including but not limited to Robotics, Automation, Manufacturing processes and quality control, Control systems, and Engineering instrumentation. The primary job duties are teaching, advising, professional development and institutional service. Professional development may include but is not limited to the publication of scholarly works, applied research, grant writing, and collaboration with industrial partners. Successful candidates will be expected to actively engage in applied research with the Oregon Manufacturing lnnovation Center (OMIC) with whom Oregon Tech has a strong partnership. Institutional service may include on-campus committee membership and participation in departmental initiatives. Required: An earned doctoral degree in mechanical, or a closely related field. Preferred: Prior industry and teaching experience; Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate students; and Experience in writing proposals for and securing grants and contracts.
