Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of Industrial and Engineering Technology invites applications for the position, Assistant Professor of Engineering Technology to begin August 2021. This position is responsible for teaching a variety of courses including, but not limited to Electrical Circuits, Electronics, Power Electronics, Industrial Electric Machinery Control, Power Transmission, Electro-Magnetics, Control and Automation, Robotics, PLC, and Pneumatics. Other duties include advising students, mentoring senior design projects, and participating in service activities at the Department, College, and University level.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in Engineering from an accredited university by hire date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
Experience in teaching Electrical courses.
Experience with assessments in ABET and/or ATMAE accrediting agency.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS
Knowledge and ability to establish successful research in the Engineering field.
Ability to support continuous departmental improvement with a commitment to teach undergraduate courses and supervise undergraduate senior projects.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Enthusiastic personality and collaborative spirit.
