Admissions Counselor (2 Positions)
The Admissions Counselor opening is for two full-time, entry-level position in the admissions office. Responsibilities include admissions recruitment and selection duties: admissions travel, territory management, interviewing, public speaking and application review. Additional responsibilities include organizing and coordinating events for prospective students, assisting with the coordination of a highly successful tour guide program and other admission-related duties as assigned.
Position requirements are as follows: a Bachelor's degree, and a valid United States driver's license and experience in undergraduate college admissions as an admissions counselor, admissions intern and/or admissions tour guide/virtual ambassador. The successful candidate should have excellent demonstrated abilities in the following: communicate verbally and in writing, speak confidently in front of large groups, organize activities and projects on time, and work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse group of people in a dynamic environment. Gettysburg College seeks candidates who have the communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize their effectiveness with diverse groups of students, colleagues and community members.
