Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor of Acting and Program Head, BFA in Acting for Film, Television, Voice-overs, and Commercials

The Pace School of Performing Arts (PPA), housed in the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences at Pace University, and located on the University’s campus in lower Manhattan, invites applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor of Acting and Program Head of the BFA in Acting for Film, Television, Voice-overs, and Commercials. (Rank dependent on experience.) The position reports to the Executive Director of PPA and collaborates with the other PPA program heads and production team.

The ideal candidate is innovative, inspiring, and committed to Pace’s motto of Opportunitas, with experience in anti-racist teaching, mentoring, and administration as a color-conscious leader who promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and theater. The position consists of a combination of teaching, administration, departmental service, and directing/producing projects within the program.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment
  • Curriculum oversight
  • Student advisement/mentoring
  • Facilitation of faculty assignments
  • Mentoring of faculty
  • Outreach to industry/guest artists

Qualifications:

  • MFA in Acting
  • 2-3 years’ experience teaching at the professional studio/theater and/or university level.
  • Extensive experience in the on-camera and microphone mediums, whether being in front of the camera, behind the camera, in the casting room, or in production.
