The Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics (AAEC) invites applications for an Instructor position that will be 100-percent teaching agribusiness-related classes in the undergraduate program. The position is a restricted, nontenure-track, academic year appointment. Candidates are sought to provide high-quality undergraduate teaching in the broad areas of agribusiness management. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in some of the following areas: foundations of agribusiness, agribusiness marketing, agricultural financial management, small business management and entrepreneurship, analytical methods in applied economics, spreadsheet-based applications in agribusiness management, and internships in agribusiness management. Delivery modes include traditional classroom-based instruction, online instruction, or hybrid formats. Other courses may be assigned depending on the background of the successful candidate and the needs of the Department. The typical teaching expectation will be three courses per semester, although adjustments may be made depending on the nature of other duties that may be assigned. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist with advising and mentoring students in club-based activities such as participation in the national competition of the National Agri-Marketing Association.
Completed M.S., M.A. MBA, or closely related field; Successful experience in teaching courses in agribusiness or business management, marketing, and/or finance.
Experience advising students for experiential learning activities; Agribusiness or business-related experience with management decision-making; Experience working with and implementing market-based surveys
