Job Description:

York College of Pennsylvania is seeking a team-oriented, qualified professional to join the Department of Education as an administrator for Field Services. The Coordinator of Field Services will be responsible for developing and maintaining school district partnerships to support the field experience requirements for all Education majors. This position will establish the placements in Local Education Agencies for our education majors participating in all stages of required field experience. The Coordinator will collaborate with faculty, program directors, and administrators to refine and improve the systems and structure of Field Services. This administrator will visit schools to foster relationships, monitor students, ensure requirements are met, and resolve conflicts/issues/concerns that may arise while students are representing York College of Pennsylvania in the field. The Coordinator of Field Services will maintain ongoing communication with district teachers and administrators, as well as field experience students to inform and support them as needed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining field experience documentation, verifying clearances, submitting reports, and analyzing data for continual improvement. The Coordinator will work closely with the Supervisor of Field Services and the Director of Field Services to further the needs of the Field Services Division. This ten-month position, reporting to the Director of Field Services, will begin August 1, 2021.


Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience (teaching and supervision) in K-12 public schools
  • Valid state educator certification
  • Administrative certification and/or experience in supervision or leadership roles
  • Masters of Education or higher in an educational field
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Extensive expertise with Microsoft Office Suite
