Department of Neuroscience is seeking two Postdoctoral Associates whose studies will focus on advancing our understanding of the role of tau in neurodegenerative disorders. These studies are supported by several NIH grants. Studies will leverage recent advances in organotypic brain slice cultures models of tauopathy and new animal models that demonstrate cross-talk between amyloid and tau pathologies. Successful candidates will be highly motivated, intellectual curious and capable of working in an independent but collaborative fashion. Strong written and verbal communication skills a must. The ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Pharmacology or other relevant fields. Experience in cell-culture, rodent models of disease, molecular biology and protein biochemistry are desirable. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
