The Department of Orthopaedics Surgery, at the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville, seeks a full-time Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon for the start of the 2022/2023 academic year that is MD, BC/BE and fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery. This position will be non-tenured at the level of Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor.

This position will report to the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Major responsibilities include performing primarily fracture surgeries, teaching residents, and research. This service performs approximately 1400 cases per annum. Additionally, this position requires the ability to work as a team member within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, as well as liaison with the operating rooms, general surgery trauma, and rehabilitation services.

The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville is the largest of the three UF colleges - medicine, nursing and pharmacy - located on the approximately 110-acre UF Health Jacksonville campus. The college's 16 clinical science departments house more than 400 faculty members and 300 residents and fellows. The college offers 32 accredited graduate medical education programs. In addition to graduate medical education, clinical rotations in all the major disciplines are provided for students from the UF College of Medicine in Gainesville.

For practicing physicians, the college offers a continuing medical education program that recruits national and international speakers who are well known and respected in their fields. The campus' faculty, residents and fellows are active in clinical research. Residents and fellows regularly present their findings at locations across the country and publish their projects in well-known publications.

Must be MD and BC/BE, fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery. Applicants must be eligible for licensure in Florida.
