Job Description:

In addition to providing the essential foundation for all Sciences and Engineering programs, and electives to the University-wide community, the Department of Mathematics and Actuarial Science (MACT) provides rigorous pedagogy to Mathematics majors, as well as its applied Actuarial Science and Data Science programs. The School also boasts graduate programs, Masters and Doctorates, in the Natural Sciences, Global Public Health and in Engineering, thereby providing opportunities for collaborative didactics and research. In that context, MACT welcomes applicants that are well-grounded in Mathematics and its diverse applications, with the flexibility to participate in the curriculum across various sub-disciplines, from freshmen to graduate.

For all positions, applicants should be committed to excellent classroom teaching and learning as well as demonstrating a strong research record (senior faculty) or a clear potential for research (junior faculty). Preference will be given to applicants who will contribute to the Department, School, University, and the outside communities in the field. English is required as it is the language of instruction at AUC. Research opportunities within the School of Sciences and Engineering and with colleagues across AUC are strongly encouraged.
