Assistant/Associate Professor- The Graduate Program in Educational Technology

Primary Purpose of Position:
Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching masters and undergraduate courses related to the area of Educational Technology offered online and on campus, advise students and supervising students in field placement/internship as needed, serve on university, department, and faculty committees, conduct an active program of research, seek grant funding and provide service to the department, college, university, community constituencies, and professional organizations.
Minimum Education/Experience:
A doctoral degree from an accredited institution in the field of Educational Technology or related field, with teaching experience in an academic area consistent with the mission of the School of Education. Curriculum development, implementation and evaluation; development of new educational programs in higher education; research track record, including publications, proposal and grant development and administration; strong communication skills, commitment to interdisciplinary education; and it is expected the applicant will work toward promotion and tenure.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of technology and distance education as it applies to both learning and instruction in the global economy, effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to produce scholarly publications. The successful candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively with multiple and diverse stakeholders, have experience using instructional technology, teaching online courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, and the capacity to engage students in their teaching. The selected candidate will be trained in the standardized online teaching methodology that guides the Program. Technology-Related in Education areas of specialization are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to specialties in digital learning, instructional design, measurement analytics, technology applied to learning research, systems design, STEM, and innovative digital learning measurement.
