Instructor of Library Scholarly Communication and Research

The McDermott Library at the United States Air Force Academy seeks candidates for the newly created position of Instructor of Library Scholarly Communications and Research. This librarian will develop and lead initiatives related to scholarly communication within the library and as a collaborator with other Academy departments. The Instructor of Library Scholarly Communication and Research is also a key team member of Research Services; teaching information literacy, providing research support to cadets and faculty, and liaising with the Humanities Division. Reporting to the Associate Director for Public Services at the McDermott Library, this librarian will play a major role in designing, implementing, and assessing new and expanded services based on the library’s strategic plan to best support cadets and faculty as a partner in the Academy’s educational mission. The United States Air Force Academy, located just north of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is an undergraduate institution dedicated to educate, train, and inspire men and women to become officers and leaders of character in United States Air Force.
