The University of Findlay invites applications for the full-time position of Equestrian Department Instructor of Western Riding and Equine Business Management, to begin August 2021. Candidates will be expected to teach courses both in the western riding program and in the Equine Business Management (EQBM) program. Responsibilities may include: instructing first-year western equestrian students, teaching required and elective EQBM courses, academic advising, assisting with the summer youth school, assisting admissions counselors in recruiting prospective students, providing career guidance for students, and working successfully with other Equestrian department faculty and staff for the good of the University. Candidates will also be expected to work with department colleagues in maintaining a viable horse herd for use within the program.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to experiential, student-centered education as well as professional performance. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, and a Master’s degree is preferred. Salary is commensurate with qualification and educational credentials.
