Postdoctoral Research Associate in Cross-Cultural Consumer Behavior – Department of Business Administration, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign
The Department of Business Administration (BADM) at the Gies College of Business, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign has an opening for a postdoctoral research associate position designed to assist faculty in the department to conduct world-class interdisciplinary research and thought leadership on cross-cultural consumer behavior.
Successful candidates will work with BADM-affiliated Gies faculty on research projects, advance their own research initiatives, supervise research assistants, assist with lab-related duties, support the development of innovative teaching curriculum, and teach in the Gies College of Business.
This position will work closely with Professors Carlos J. Torelli and Sharon Shavitt on research on cross-cultural consumer behavior, specifically working with Gies faculty in one or more research priority areas including cultural change, multicultural marketing, and cultural symbolism of brands.
The postdoctoral position is a one-year appointment, contingent on funding, expected to begin in August 2021. Renewal for a second year may occur depending on available funding and performance at or above expectations. Successful candidates will have completed a Ph.D. in marketing or related fields before beginning the position. Demonstrated research interests in cross-cultural consumer research topics is required. Publication success in marketing is strongly preferred.
