Tenure-track Advanced Assistant Professor faculty position. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising undergraduate and graduate students, pursuing a program of research leading to publication in major academic journals in marketing and allied fields, and university service including committee and outreach activities as appropriate to the faculty member’s rank and expertise.

In addition, the faculty member will teach courses in data analytics and related areas in digital marketing strategy, artificial intelligence and assist in the development of new courses, publish in scholarly journals, conduct scholarly activities and provide service to the department, college and university as well as professional services to appropriate national organizations. Consistent with the University and College Strategic plan, The individual will contribute to enriching our data-driven society through knowledge and application of business intelligence & data analytics.

Occasional travel required to attend conferences and training sessions.

Required qualifications (Visible to applicant):* Doctorate in marketing with a background in Marketing Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Empirical Industrial Organizational research, Quantitative Marketing and Economics. Preference will be given to those working on platform strategy with focus in crowdfunding and online education market.

This is an advanced Assistant Professor position (preference will be given to those who are Assistant Professors currently). Potential for excellence in scholarship in marketing and related areas required. Applicants will be expected to work with researchers across a broad spectrum of fields at Virginia Tech.
Instructional capabilities at undergraduate and graduate levels.
