Postdoctoral Associate - Therapeutic Discovery in Neurodegenerative Disease (71607)

Department of Neuroscience is seeking two Postdoctoral Associates who will focus on validating and advancing novel therapeutic targets for Alzheimer’s disease. The positions are supported by NIH Funding through the AMP Alzheimer’s disease (AD) initiative and another NIH grant to explore immunotherapy target hypothalamic pituitary axis dysfunction in AD. These positions will focus on validation of novel targets relevant to AD therapeutics in state of the art model systems. Successful candidates will be highly motivated, intellectual curious and capable of working in an independent but collaborative fashion. Strong written and verbal communication skills a must. The ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Pharmacology or other relevant fields, preferentially a background in neurodegenerative disease or behavioral research, and experience in modular biology and protein chemistry. Experience with -omic level analyses is desirable but not requisite. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
