Visiting Lecturer of Sociology
Lander University
Lander University invites applicants for a Visiting Lecturer of
Sociology to begin in August 2021. A master’s degree in sociology
is required, although candidates with a Ph.D. are preferred. The
area of specialization is open.
University-level teaching experience is required, with a preference
for persons who have taught face to face and online courses.
Lander’s Center for Online and Innovative Learning supports
on-going training for faculty. The teaching load is 30 hours a
year, with 3 distinct preps per semester. This position would
involve teaching at the main campus and online.
Position renewal possible.
Sociology courses contribute to B.S. degrees in Criminology, Human
Services, and Sociology as well as support minors in such areas as
Child and Family Studies and Non-Profit Management.
