Assistant Director for Residential Support
Location: Moscow

Pay Range: $44,595 per year or higher depending on education and experience

Position Summary:
The Assistant Director is a member of the Housing and Residence Life staff and is responsible for the overall management of student success initiatives, programs, and student interventions. The Assistant Director is directly responsible to the Associate Director of Housing and Residence Life and works cooperatively with the Director of Housing and Residence Life. This position will collaborate with Student Affairs and Academic Affairs to offer residence hall students strategies and programs to advance academically at the University of Idaho. The position is also responsible for developing interventions for those that are having academic difficulties. The Assistant Director will guide the Residence Life staffs retention efforts at the floor and hall level. This position will be responsible for directing the efforts with the Intentional Interaction Model and the Living Learning Communities in collaboration with our academic partners. This is a full-time 12-month position.
Housing & Residence Life is an auxiliary enterprise and is funded solely by customers who use our services. Housing & Residence Life staff members are expected to demonstrate a personal and professional commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Higher Ed, Counseling, or other related educational fields.
• Work experience that demonstrates:
- Experience advising students;
- Leadership experience;
- Experience in a live in role in Housing and Residence Life.
Preferred Qualifications:
• PhD in related field;
• Experience with Residential Curriculum;
• Demonstrated experience with assessment and data analysis;
• Demonstrated experience coordinating both large and small scale programs;
• Experience in supervising student staff;
• Demonstrated ability to foster student success;
• Skills in crisis management.
