Job Description:
The Department of Communication and Writing is hiring for the position of Adjunct Instructor: American Sign Language. The instructor will be responsible for developing and teaching a Beginner American Sign Language course for non-majors. Duties will include developing course materials, leading class meetings, assigning projects and/or tests and quizzes, evaluating student work, holding office hours and entering grades and other information into the college's course management and advising software.
Requirements:
The candidate should possess a combination of college-level education and a degree, professional experience and licensure appropriate for the position. An advanced degree is preferable, but a combination of education, professional experience and licensure is acceptable.
All candidates must be able to teach the course online if necessary.
