Position Summary

The School of Social Work invites applications for the position of Academic Professional to serve in a field coordinator capacity in our Field Education office. This academic professional faculty position will include recruitment and evaluation of appropriate field learning sites; placement of students in practicum sites; field liaising; administrative management of field education protocols; and teaching multiple field and practice courses. This position will work closely with the BSW program and the online MSW program. Limited travel to field sites in Athens, metropolitan Atlanta, Northeast Georgia, middle Georgia, and South Georgia may be required.

Additional Requirements

The successful candidate must have a MSW degree and a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate social work practice experience; must show evidence of a knowledge of field education.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification

A minimum of 5 years prior experiences in administration, social work practice, student supervision, and a working knowledge of the Council on Social Work Education 2015 Educational Policies and Accreditation Standards are desirable. Social work license preferred.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Linkages, knowledge, and/or a minimum of 2 years of experiences in the professional social service community in Athens and throughout the state of Georgia are also strongly desired.
