Position Summary:
The Department of Psychology and the Marler/Auger Laboratories are seeking a Research Specialist to be responsible for a variety of activities including lab management, oversight of an animal colony and mouse research (California mice and house mice) involving behavior, hormones and neurobiology.

Degree and Area of Specialization:
B.Sc. in Biology or related field required.
Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
Direct experience with laboratory research is required, and two years previous experience in an animal research lab is preferred. Previous experience with and/or willingness to learn animal behavior, endocrinology and neurobiology is an asset (including immunocytochemistry, western blots, PCR, brain injections, viral neurobiology methods, automated behavioral recording and analysis, including acoustic communication).
