Job Description:

COORDINATOR, CENTURY CENTER -

The Coordinator, Century Center position is a 12-month professional/managerial position with an anticipated start date of May, 2021. The Coordinator, Century Center will be responsible for all operational aspects and stewardship of the Century Center and will serve as the administrative officer for the Century Center. In addition, he or she will collaborate with department heads to develop course schedules; participate in program recruiting campaigns as assigned; provide admissions, financial aid, career planning, and academic advising to students and prospective students; participate in retention and completion efforts; and implement student success initiatives as determined by the College. Additionally, the successful candidate will work with appropriate public officials and representatives from the private sector and civic and non-profit groups in the assigned service area to promote the College’s programs and policies; represent the College at local civic and community organizations on relevant educational matters; coordinate care, maintenance, renovation, and construction of Center facilities in conjunction with appropriate College staff and administration; and provide support and serve as the point of contact for faculty and staff assigned to the Center. This position reports to the Senior Dean, Academic Affairs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and three years of related full-time teaching/supervisory experience are required. Relevant work experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year for year basis. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in admissions, financial aid, or academic advising in a college, university, or adult education setting; ability to work as a member of a team with minimum supervision; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

SALARY RANGE: $34,320.00 - $42,500.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable.)
