Position Summary:
The Residence Hall Coordinator (RHC) is responsible for the daily operation of a residence hall which houses anywhere from 250-700 students. The RHC position is responsible for implementing our residential curriculum that focuses on providing growth, enhancing perspective and building community. Each RHC is responsible for the selection and supervision of paraprofessional staff members. The RHC position reports directly to an Associate Director for Residence Life.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's preferred in Higher Education, Student Personnel, Counseling, or related field.
Minimum Experience:
One year of successful residence life experience and an in-depth knowledge of theories and practices within the field of college student personnel, student affairs, and/or housing and residence life.
Job Functions:
- Provide administration and management to residence hall.
- Provide programming, advising and academic support to enhance the building community.
- Provide crisis management and facilities operations.
- Manage the disciplinary processes and address student conduct issues in the residence hall.
- Support University, Divisional and Department mission.
