Position Description:

 

Full-time, tenure-line instructor to teach Heath Information Technology courses beginning fall 2021 semester, based on the Jamestown Campus with teaching responsibilities on the Cattaraugus County Campus in Olean, NY. Responsibility for teaching Medical Terminology, Health Data Procedures, Keyboarding/Word Processing and other relevant health information technology or other relevant courses in the Administrative Professional degree program and other business courses, as needed. Ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership ability.

 

Qualifications:

 

Required: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in health information technology, health information management, health informatics or related healthcare field, college and asynchronous (online) teaching experience. Master’s Degree in a related field required for tenure (4 yrs.)

 

Preferred: Master’s Degree (or higher) in health information technology, health information management, health informatics or related healthcare field; current license or credential for a health care discipline; minimum three years’ experience working in a health care setting; and community college teaching experience.
