Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Faculty Position at the University of Washington

 

Position Description:

 

The University of Washington (UW) is recruiting for a full-time Assistant Professor (without tenure due to funding) in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, Department of Medicine. This is a full time (100% FTE) position. Patient care efforts will primarily occur at Harborview Medical Center.  The successful candidate will conduct health disparities research in ICU and palliative care settings and have a critical care clinical focus.  This position will include oversight and mentoring of clinical and research trainees. 

 

This position will have an annual service period of 12 months (July 1 – June 30). Anticipated start date would be January 2022.

 

University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

 

Qualifications:

 

Requirements include an MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and Board Eligibility or Certification in both Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (or foreign equivalent).  In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduate of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
