The Area of Finance invites applications for a non-tenure-track Professor of Practice position (open rank) starting Fall 2021. Course load will be 18 credit hours per year with teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level. The Area of Finance also has a need for teaching in the summer. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or DBA in finance or related discipline before the start date of this position. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching in both online and face-to-face modalities. The ability to teach in our professional MBA program would be a plus. An active research program suitable for maintaining AACSB scholarly academic qualifications is preferred. Service duties include program-building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities. Service to the department, college, and university is expected. Starting rank will depend on the candidate’s record and previous experience in teaching, service, and research (if applicable). A demonstrated and ongoing commitment to serving diverse student populations and experience working with diverse student populations and first-generation students is highly desirable. The Area of Finance is one of six academic units in the AACSB accredited Rawls College of Business. The Area has 18 full-time and emeritus faculty with a strong commitment to high-quality academic research in a collegial work environment.
