The University of Florida College of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time clinical non-tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Community Dentistry and Behavioral Science at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. This position will serve as Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor at the UFCD Seminole Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Program in the role of Clinical Team Leader. Responsibilities for this position will center on learner-centered residency level clinical and didactic instruction, and a desire to achieve distinction in academic pursuits and service. It will include opportunities for participation in the development of departmental service and academic opportunities. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the program director in maintaining a clinical residency training program that meets all the requirements of the Commission on Dental Accreditation. This includes assisting in formulating and implementing all clinical and didactic educational programs, recruiting sufficient qualified faculty, ensuring sufficient time is allotted for each required discipline, and maintaining program documentation required for accreditation. In addition, the assistant director is responsible for representing the UFCD in the local community and actively markets to build a strong patient base.

Minimum requirements include a DDS, DMD or equivalent degree. Preference will be given to candidates who have five years clinical practice experience and/or teaching in a clinical dental setting and strong preference will be given to candidates who have successfully completed a CODA accredited AEGD or GPR postgraduate program. Willingness to participate in clinical faculty practice duties is desired. Salary and rank are commensurate with credentials and experience. Anticipated start date is flexible but the preferred start date is June 1, 2021.
