Working Title: Assistant/Associate Professor of Information Systems Official Title: Assistant/Associate Professor Employment Class: Faculty FTE: 1.0 Compensation: Negotiable FLSA Status: Exempt Terms of Employment: Tenure-Track Position Summary:

The primary work responsibility of the successful candidate will be teaching courses in the Information Systems program. Teaching is the primary mission of this University. Academic Qualification must be maintained for accreditation purposes. Academic Qualification requires publication of research in peer reviewed academic journals.


• Teaching Information Systems classes (40%)
• Research and Publication (45%)
• Contribution to the majors - Student club involvement, Advising (5%)
• Serve on committees as both a member and leader. Committees include department curriculum and personnel, College curriculum, personnel, and ad hoc depending on need, and University curriculum and administrative (10%)

Qualifications Required:

• Ph.D. or DBA in Information Systems or a related field (AACSB accredited or equivalent) - (ABD candidates considered if degree requirements will be completed before position start date)
• Teaching ability in technology related fields
• Ability to conduct and publish research in IT/IS related fields
• In-depth knowledge of IT related fields
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion


• Ability to integrate industry experience into the classroom
• Ability to incorporate emerging technology research into the classroom
• Ability to promote the information systems discipline to students
• Skills and knowledge in the area of cybersecurity
• Ability to teach core classes in the Information Systems discipline
