Full-time Faculty: Medical Assisting (Fall 2021), #32366

St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, nestled in the heart of growing St. Charles County. Established in 1986, SCC is a public, comprehensive two-year community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields. SCC also provides workforce training and community-based personal and professional development as well as cultural, recreational and entertainment opportunities.

We invite qualified candidates to apply for our full-time, Medical Assistant Faculty position for fall 2021.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, student learning, assessment, and the use of technology in the delivery of instruction. Teaching load is 15 credit hours each semester. Medical Assistant courses taught over 2 semesters include:

• MDA-115 Pharmacology & Administration of Medications
• MDA-116 Pharmacology & Administration of Med Medications (Clinical)
• MDA-120 Administrative Procedures
• MDA-121 Medical Specialties
• MDA-140 Procedures in a Clinical Setting
• MDA-141 Procedures in a Clinical Setting (Clinical)
• MDA-150 Professional Capstone and RMA Exam Review
• MDA-151 Clinical Externship

Qualifications: A current or past CMA or RMA certification and a Bachelor of Science degree in a related Allied Health Science field is required. Candidates will have experience teaching at the college level, demonstrate the ability to embrace the use of technology in teaching, and maintain the highest possible standards in classroom instruction and assessment. Candidates will be expected to teach across disciplines in other Allied Health Science programs.

Minimum starting salaries: Instructor $54,039; Assistant Professor $59,826; Associate Professor $65,769
