Position Summary

The University at Buffalo School of Management is seeking to fill a non-tenure track faculty position in the rank of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor to begin in Fall 2021.

The UB School of Management is looking for a dynamic leader for its new MS degree in Business Analytics. The program will enroll its inaugural class in fall 2021. This individual will take over a program with a fully developed curriculum, but with the expectation that they will bring a continuous improvement perspective to this role. The program director will be engaged in all aspects of program management from admission and recruiting to orientation and curriculum development. The School has a highly trained professional staff to support the entire student experience from admissions to placement, but the program director will be expected to be an active collaborator with these staff.

Primary duties include:
• Serving as Program Director for the MS in Business Analytics Program
• Teaching analytics courses at the undergraduate and MS levels
• Engaging with students in professional development activities
• Engaging with industry professionals who contribute to the school and program activities
• Collaborate with other program directors of the school in designing and delivering analytics courses in individual business disciplines.

The successful candidate will be expected to play a significant role in the development and delivery of education at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as being actively engaged with the analytics profession.

Minimum Qualifications

Must hold a graduate degree (PhD, MBA or MS) in business disciplines with significant analytics emphasis by fall term 2021.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated record of success in academic program leadership in an AACSB accredited business school, or equivalent industry leadership role
Outstanding record of teaching performance
The ability to teach non-analytics courses in one of the School’s departments
