Position Summary:
The Sigmund Weis School of Business of Susquehanna University seeks applicants for the position of Lecturer in Accounting. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track position beginning in August 2021. Undergraduate teaching includes multiple tax classes as well as business law or other accounting courses. Additional responsibilities include advising students and service within the Business School. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.


Required Qualifications:
A J.D. or Master’s degree and experience in tax planning, consulting, or preparation. Candidates must provide evidence they can be effective teachers, which demonstrates a high level of organization and communication skills

Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to complete the professional or academic responsibilities required by AACSB-International accredited business programs. The candidate could accomplish this by achieving the scholarship standards required by publishing in peer review journals or by maintaining their professional currency through other professional work.


Preferred Qualifications:
• Be able to contribute to teaching our first-year business seminar class and/or other accounting courses
• Evidence of teaching at the upper division or graduate level
• Evidence of supporting students in solving complex management problems
• Relevant industry experience.
